Visit Appointments

Visits by a vet to your premises are allocated times on the morning of the visit and we ask you to telephone the office at 9am for an estimate of your visit time. Time estimates are usually 1 hour slots. Alternatively, we are more than happy to give half an hours notice when the vet is on the way to you.

If booking routine work (e.g. vaccinations, dentistry) at least 48 hours in advance we can also offer discounted visits (25% off) on certain days. You can further reduce the cost by organising shared visits with others on your yard or close neighbours. Even cheaper, avoid visit fees completely by bringing your horse to us.

When booking visits please remember to notify us of any times you are unavailable (e.g. school runs) and provide us with contact telephone numbers for the day. For discounted visits you need to be available at any time on that day. We cover most of Suffolk, south Norfolk and north Essex for routine work; further afield for vettings and second opinions.

Emergency Visits

We are available to attend emergencies 24 hours a day every day. For obvious reasons emergency calls will take priority over other visits.

Outside normal working hours, we operate a 24 hour emergency service, for which you should call the normal office number 01728 685123. Your call will be answered by a member of the answering service staff, who will take all your details and pass them on to the on-duty vet. The duty vet, who will always be an experienced horse vet, will return your call straight away and make arrangements for a visit or give advice as necessary.

If you are in any doubt as to whether or not you need a visit, please phone and ask.
